Port of Echuca

During my day trip to Echuca, I visited the famous Port of Echuca and stepped back into a time when paddle steamers ruled the Murray River and life moved at a much slower pace. The historic wharf, old timber buildings, and beautifully preserved riverboats made it a fantastic place to explore and capture with my camera. Walking around the port, I could almost imagine the busy days of the past when traders, workers, and travellers filled the riverfront - although I was very happy to enjoy the scenery without having to load cargo onto a steamship! With its rich history, charming atmosphere, and plenty of photo opportunities, Port of Echuca is a reminder that some of the best journeys are about discovering the stories behind the places we visit.
